Our Director, Ian Woollams, brings over 50 years of experience in plant operation and is passionate about imparting his vast knowledge of plant and materials to our operators. This dedication ensures our team remains among the best in the business. We maintain an impeccable safety record, striving for zero harm to our people, equipment, and the environment. Location
Originally based in South West Sydney, Woollams Earthmoving & Plant Hire has worked on projects stretching from Central Queensland right down to the Victorian border. Now with offices setup in Sydney, Newcastle and Wagga Wagga, Woollams is perfectly positioned to cater to our clients needs, wherever they may need us.

Ian Woollams
Our Director, Ian Woollams, growing up on a farm in the north island of NZ, moved to Australia at the age of 21 to trade in farm tractors with dozers, diggers and graders.
Ian brings over 50 years of experience in plant operation and is passionate about imparting his vast knowledge of plant and materials to our operators. His expertise and dedication to the craft is infectious and has helped shape the team of professionals we have today.
Ray Woollams
After 20+ years following in Ian’s footsteps, Ray Woollams has long always pondered the ever-growing skills shortage faced by today's civil and mining industries. With the help of BHP, Ray has spent the last 2 years developing a custom training system that utilizes a unique approach by blending LMS style training with on-the-job practical skills training to help increase operator confidence and proficiency.
Will Woollams
With a keen eye for detail and passion for innovation, Will Woollams has been one of the earliest adopters of the LPS Positrac grader setup and now with his very own company Turbo Civil, he leads the industry when it comes to compact precision solutions.

Our blended learning approach led by Ray Woollams combines online interactive lessons with hands-on, face-to-face training.

The Equipment
We have a comprehensive range of modern Caterpillar graders available for hire, which include 140M, 150, 160 AWD graders. We have a fleet of Skid Steer loaders with grader blade attachments that are fully equipped with GPS and LPS machine control, Perfect for tighter areas where precision matters.

We specialise in Tier One Civil Projects, Mining, Major Infrastructure and Rail Projects.
